Day 2 - Already Slipping
I am determined, no matter what, to write my day. I’m not trying to fool myself or anything one else. But, maybe I will learn something from this and, finally, be the healthy girl I always wanted to be.
So, this morning I started out well. I got up at 6am and worked online. Then, I ate some steel cut oats with some banana and a little jam that had no sweetener added. I ate a mango for a snack and, then, I ate beans, spinach, and sauteed zucchini for lunch. That’s when it all went down hill. I ate a piece of bread, some corn flakes cereal with banana, some more beans with tortilla chips, a cookie, and a piece of apple pie. It was like I tripped and all that food fell into my mouth. Granted, I’m pmsing (or more correctly PMDDing), but I need to find a way to control myself when I feel out of control.
The first step is journaling, which so far, I’m doing well. The next is mindful meditation. I do it on and off, but I want to make it more consistent. I like how it makes me stop and consider what’s happening in the moment. Today, I’m also go to start Intermittent Fasting. I’m hoping this will help with binge eating, especially at night. So, I will stop eating at 7p and begin eating again somewhere between 7a and 8a, depending on work.
I’m, also, cutting myself off from added sugars. Yes, I wrote it down, so now I have to try my best to keep to my word.
Also, I weighed myself today: 198.8 pounds (90.1 kg). I weighed myself after eating breakfast and drinking a bunch of water, but I don’t think it’s too off from my true weight. I’m aiming for 160 pounds (72.5 kg) for now. I’m 5’7 ft (173.7) with a medium frame. Even with a high weight, my body distributes the fat well. My stomach is still relatively flat and my waist is 31.5 in (80 cm). I wear a US 14. So, now it’s all out there.
